Well....I'm pretty stoked! After all the struggles yesterday, took er out for some test flights behind my 4Runner. 3 flawless flights! I'm stoppin while I'm ahead. The drone is IN for Idaho ride.

Tried it again. Worked perfectly. Will resume tomorrow and have it follow me in a car on a road out this way with no telephone poles/wires. Thats where I tested it when I first got it forever ago.

So, I went out and tried again. This time, start drone, start beacon, go to settings in phone/wifi, as soon as beacon pops up, click it/connected, over to app, beacon was waiting but connected as soon as I hit its wifi. Ready to fly, and beacon showed connected to gps! Its working! But it...

Well....I doubt (m)any still read this forum, but in case some do, lemme just say that this entire issue of connectivity with beacon is NOT resolved. I just spent about 4 hours trying to nail down exactly what process would consistently work. I tried 2 android phones, neither was really any...

I'm interested in knowing too. I dont need a repair, just wondering what would happen if I do. (I suspect few read the forum?)

Blue button is on. Red button, hold for 3 2 1, is off. I just pressed right arrow, then blue, got a 3 option menu. Left arrow and blue turns it on....seems like left arrow aspect does nothing. Same stuff with red does nothing. Just turn on with blue. Off with red. Good to hear it works!

Any results, or no time to try it yet? If the cable you were using charges the batteries, thats likely not the problem. And if thats the case, I wonder if the battery in the beacon has died while in storage. I'm no expert on batteries, but that's all I can think of as likely problem.

Dunno....the other day I got some sorta similar message (didn't say deleting..seemed some sorta error) I ignored it, all seemed fine during flight but when I landed and pulled out the card, it had some LVF files (or whatever they are) but no MP4s. Flew again...no error message, but same result...

Have you tried a different cable? The one that came with S2 and that charges the batteries should work. If its not the cable, then IDK. Where'd you get a brand new beacon?

If it were my drone, I'd want the gimbal secured some way so it doesn't bounce around.

Why use case for landing? I just catch my drone every time...unless its ran away and landed itself. On the point of the original post...outta X# landings, 1 went astray? Seems like just a random error...kinda like the kinda thing we civilians were 'employed' (on our dime) to flush out.

I had same issue as what you originally posted in this thread. Could fly with beacon and app, but controller won't connect to my rugged phone (Kyocera Duraforce Pro2). I fiddled around with things today and suspect the version of the OS in my phone is incompatible with the latest update to S2...

Wow! Sounds very similar. I was very lucky mine stopped within earshot, and lucky it was a totally calm day so I could hear it. Theoretically, a RTH setting of 'return to point connection was lost and hover as long as possible' SHOULD result in the drone being findable. Assuming the GPS setting...

Can you please clarify what you are looking at that is indicating that 'it ain't HDR at all'? I always use VLC to review my vids and the codec info is the same for each, but what indicates whether its real HDR or pseudo HDR? See below. Skydio's response to my inquiry about why my replacement...
