I have only tried the Skydio while skiing a few times. It got stuck once behind me but I was able to "wand" it back. . After that, I had it lead me. It seemed to do better and I have so far never had to walk back up for it. Europe has pretty strict rules about drones that I haven't quite got...

Just send it back to Skydio for repair. They will likely charge you much less to have your old one repaired. Then have them ship it to your friend so he can bring it back. Skydio will not ship it to EU directly after the repair.

I finally got to do a real test of my Skydio with a dirt bike. It could not handle the higher speeds but otherwise worked like a champ.

I like the idea to lock the beacon buttons. But I wish you could do it with the beacon itself and not have to get out your cell phone..
