It should still be there. When hooked up to the drone look for the 3 lines(settings) on the app when in drone view. Click on the 3 lines and it should show a button to disable smooth mode, if I get a chance I'll try to get a screenshot.

I agree DJI has come a long way but the mini 4 is still no S2. I've owned practically every DJI consumer drone from the Phantom 1 to the Mavic 2 Zoom and none are usable for my purpose. I'll stick with my S2 until something better comes along.

I've come to learn that software updates are not always a good thing. Fortunately the last update seems to be a good one my S2 has been performing well, I have no desire or a need to update it anymore.

Well, I'm glad I purchased three of these things, (2) S2's and (1) S2+. They have performed well for me and I'm while I'm disappointed they are leaving the consumer market I feel lucky to have them at all. For those who feel ripped off I foresee a strong market to sell your S2.

Yep, when I read helps center the subject, and my subject was often off frame, something is up.

Yeah, they wer I've had the same issue. I read in a recent update the ability to download in different formats to put the subject where you want it, that's when the issue started.

Overtime the batteries will go flat. I purchased a dozen spare 3DR batteries for my Solo and if I don't charge them every few months they will slowly discharge to zero. I think the lesson learned here is store the batteries at 40 to 50% capacity and charge them fully when you're ready to fly. I...
