You live in the Las Vegas area. What light can you shed on flying your drone outside of Lake Mead NP, but in what is known as U-space and Boulder City limits? This area came up in another forum and it looks to me like the FAA has given a private company exclusive rights to airspace and part of it inclusive to NP lands.

I'm not sure, there seems to be a lot of ambiguity. The rangers tell me Red Rock, Mt Charleston and Lake Mead NP's are off limits; however I see guys flying there all the time. The BLM and Rangers don't seem to go out of their way to enforce but I stay away from those areas.

I fly in the NE where Boulder is in the SW so things may be different there, sorry I couldn't help more.
