How Do I Get Controller To Connect to Backup Drone?

I have two drones, the S2 and S2+. I've been using the S2+ exclusively for some time but now want to S2 for some special shots. I can get the iPhone/app to connect to either of the two drones but the controller (with iPhone attached) will only connect to the S2+, even though app will connect to either one. Ideas?

Power up both the Drone and the Controller, hardwire the drone to the Controller, pay attention to the LED light on the controller ( Controller Manual online is helpful )

Thanks for the rep;ly. I had checked the manual and knew to connect the controller directly to the drone to sync the two, However, that is a PITA when I want to make a quick switch between the two drones. What I did was get out an old controller that I fixed (stick broke) so that there's a controller for each drone..
