Preferred App for flights

Hi folks. Looking for advice on your preferred app to check whether flights are permitted. My intended flying use is primarily US and Australia. Alternatively, what Apps to avoid.

I'm visiting our daughter in Perth and downloaded OpenSky. It's free, and seems similar to the app I use at home in Chicago, B4UFLY, also free.
