Hi everyone,

I'm looking into getting a Skydio X10 and had a few questions about the HDMI output capabilities on the X10 controller:

1. HDMI connection: Does the X10 controller support HDMI output to an external monitor/display via an HDMI cable?
2. Video quality: What's the quality of the HDMI output? Does it output the full resolution live feed?
3. Clean feed: Is there a way to remove the overlays and HUD elements (telemetry, grid lines, battery indicators, etc.) to get a clean video feed on the external display?

Not sure if anyone has tried this setup with the X10, any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I saw a X10 demo, they had the X10 Controller HDMI out connected to a 50" TV for the group to see. Worked great. It is at least 1080 based on the screen I saw. I believe it was a mirror image of the controller.

Regarding HDMI out on the X10 controller, it does have an HDMI output port which has the same resolution as the drone's wireless video feed, i.e., 1080p. Interestingly, none of the telemetry or other control data is included in the HDMI output. Eagle 23 wanted a clean video out and this delivers it. But for some, the telemetry data is required for external monitoring and at present the Skydio X10 controller does not provide it via the HDMI output. For those that want this information included in the HDMI output, this situation is very annoying.

Skydio says they are working on a fix for this (presumably a firmware update) but as yet do not say when the upgrade will be available. Most other drone manufacturers that do provide an HDMI or USBC video output from their controllers include the telemetry information overlaid on the camera feed. Professional users that want an external video output from the controller aren't using this for sightseeing so the telemetry is important to them.
