    DJI Community is Absolutely Toxic

If Skydio is not shipping consumer drones (2+s) and they are not taking orders for 2+s, then they are no longer in the consumer drone business. It is possible they are going to introduce a model 3. Unfortunately, to be competitive, any new drone would need to have features that would erode their...

    DJI Community is Absolutely Toxic

Unfortunately, it looks like Skydio is only shipping the Enterprise version of the 2+. Starter, Sports, Cinema, and Pro can no longer be ordered.

Skydio support's response on Remote ID

Despite Skydio's assurance that they will be ready for Remote ID they are not listed as compliant yet (UAS Declaration of Compliance). I'm hoping it is in the queue and the FAA hasn't posted it yet.

    Controller

Does anybody think we need a new controller for the S2+?

    S2 purchase

Seems like Skydio is concentrating on the enterprise or commercial market. This makes perfect sense.

    S2 purchase

Thinking or purchasing an S2 now that the price has dropped and they are readily available. Problem is it maybe too little too late. Seems like the Air 2s has better range, sensor, air time and is less expensive. Am I missing something? I do want to buy US products.

    Current Skydio App version

Is 10.0.0 (8) the current iOS app for Skydio 2?

    Is Skydio's S2 really a consumer drone?

A simple solution would be to release the SDK to approved or qualified third-party developers like Litchi.

    Multiple way points?

Per a phone call with Kathryn DeLillio, Drone Deploy is the only third-party vendor that develops software for the Skydio S2. There is also no public SDK.

    Multiple way points?

I talked to Kathryn DeLillio of Skydio on Friday (12/18/20). She indicated waypoint and POI skills for the S2 were now available in their Enterprise app for an annual cost of $1499. She also suggested DroneDeploy had an S2 waypoint app for $149/month or $99/month billed annually. Looks like...

    S2 Enterprise Skills

Does anyone know the cost of Skydio's S2 Enterprise skills? I've heard between $1000 & $1500.

    Is Skydio's S2 really a consumer drone?

Skydio has secured about $170 in venture funding. Unfortunately for us, it makes much more sense for them to focus on the government and commercial markets rather than fight DJI in the consumer market place.

I write drone articles for Directions Magazine. I have owned early DJI Phantoms, a 3DR Solo, several Mavic Pros, and a Skydio S2. Some recent videos and maps of 107 certificate holders.

    Is Skydio's S2 really a consumer drone?

I ordered an S2 the day it was released, October 1st, 2019, and received it on December 21st, 2019. I then ordered a second one on December 24th, 2019. All correspondence indicated I wouldn't receive it until November 2020. I realize the virus impacted production but it's hard to believe a...
