I feel for you man. My Skydio crashed too, but mine was in the snow so it wasn't damaged. The one thing that was common between our crashes is that we both hit twigs either late or early in the day when the shadows grow long.

The #Skydio was less stress to fly through the gorge than the Mavic.

The real X factor was the wind was whipping through the gorge pretty good during the Skydio flight, if you look closely you can see my beard blowing in the wind.

HI, The drone locater function brought up a blank map. I was not in cell tower range where I was using the Skydio2. It was difficult to find as only 1/4 inch of one propeller was above the snow. When I found it, I grabbed it, and it was lodged in the snow, I wound up having to dig it out.

Hi, when I launched the Skydio2 I only had my beacon, no phone, and it took a while for the GPS in the Beacon to sync up with the GPS in the Skydio. However, before I started down I did get the message that the Skydio and Beacon were synced. I am wondering if the tree between me and the Skydio...

I uploaded the logs to from the Skydio 2 to Skydio INC. I think it lost radio signal between the Skydio 2 and the beacon when I briefly went behind the last tree at the end of this video.

U Thanks, good info, I think there is cell phone reception on the top of the mountain, so I will set return to base area, awesome suggestion.

Nice Video, I had to take off my board and hike up the hill a ways (1/3 to 1/2 a mile) to get my Skydio2 .
