This has changed a lot recently. 8 foot ceilings are fine and take offs only like 1 foot on each sidenow.

I've been testing and playing around with Skydio 2 and we recently were able to take off using lights on the drone itself to illuminate the surroundings. Here's the video ()

If you're on the latest firmware, you should be aware that the takeoff has had it's obstacle avoidance restrictions moved very close in... I've been able to do take offs with only like 3 inches on each side of the drone. Before the latest update, it truly needed like 3 feet in every direction.

I know this is months old but I have used DD with the beacon even though it's not on the "supported list"... and I'm honestly surprised the enterprise remote won't work... DD only works on iOS platforms right now, so if the enterprise remote just connects to the phone, it should work. I don't...

Yeah, the weight is always with everything needed to fly. FAA registration is $5 for as many drones as you have (recreational)

I figured it out after going back and forth to support. Beacon is "not supported officially" but works great. The other issue is that I'm an android guy, borrowed an iPhone from a friend, worked great.

I can't seem to connect since the "Connect to Drone" is grayed out. I wonder if I am just an idiot. Do you have an idiot-proof guide to doing this? Got my mapping plan ready.

I must be an idiot, I have a planned route and suddenly realized that the "Connect Drone" is grayed out. What are the actual steps after you have a mapping mission? Do you need to be connected before opening the app? Can you use the beacon?

Yes, that's what I'm getting at. My Mini 2 can take pictures and video, yet the Skydio 2 fails... There's no way to do it, right?
