    Aurora in Alaska

I was referring to the light from the aurora itself, not daylight. Granted, it would need to be a pretty strong aurora.

    Aurora in Alaska

That's pretty impressive. I was thinking of just elevated shots, not going through trees. We'll see what happens in March. Jim

    Aurora in Alaska

I'm making a trip to Fairbanks at the end of March to (hopefully) photograph the northern lights. I'm thinking of taking my S2 for daytime activity and curious if anyone has experience taking drone footage under the northern lights. From what I understand, if the lights are real active you can...

Battery dead - any ideas as I wait on support?

One of my three batteries is not willing to turn on or take a charge. Put it on the S2 to charge and nothing. Charger, nothing. Held the battery button for 40 seconds, nothing. Using all standard cables and charging hardware. My other two batteries charge OK. Less than a year old with...

    S2 overheated...

Happened to me the last time out. Pretty hot in Florida but that should not have caused it. I don't recall if it was hissing or not.

    Ice formations on Lake Ontario.

    That looks great!

    Fortunate crash

I finally heard from Skydio and exchanged several emails back and forth. They said it looks like I had marginal gps signal. Could have been. I was also running GeoTracker on my cell phone at the time and that shows that there was a shift 'in my position' that is about the same distance offset...

    Fortunate crash

Tried it this weekend with the button on the app, not the controller. Worked fine from the app button.

    Fortunate crash

Last week I was in Tennessee flying my S2 at the base of a small waterfall. I was using the controller to fly with. After about 10 minutes, I was ready to end my flight. My S2 was about 10 ft away from me and I pressed the 'return to home' button on the controller, expecting the S2 to come...

Make Skydio 2 controller phone holder fit for larger phones

I tried the Hanatora Smartphone Tablet Holder but it didn't really fit my Galaxy S10 in the Otterbox case. So I took an old holster ( I had it from warranty replacement on the otterbox) and mounted it to the clip on the Hanatora holder. The Otterbox holster allows the Galaxy to mount inward or...

    Dual Charger gone

Yes, I guess I have not fully awaken! I was envisioning plugging the USB cable into the battery but now realize I was plugging into the charger. My bad, sorry. Now I fully agree.

    Dual Charger gone

I received my dual charger with my kit but don't really see the big draw. Why not just pick up another wall plug and cable? I'm new and a rec flyer for now, so maybe I' missing something. Jim

Remote ID Broadcast Module for drones

What I was getting at is that I believe the 'technology' of nearly all cell phones may be able to meet the requirements. If you were to strip away the big screen, camera, audio support, and large battery, you may be able to have the same technology in a much smaller and lighter package...

Remote ID Broadcast Module for drones

Relatively new Skydio recreational owner, but if I had a cell phone with an app that could capture the required FAA info, couldn't I duct tape that to the drone and comply? The phone could obviously get GPS info and transmit it via wifi, bluetooth or cell.
