Update 4/1/2021: It's gone. Looking to sell my Skydio 2 Cinema kit. This is basically brand new. I flew it I think maybe 6 times; never crashed. Like it a lot, but I don't think it's going to work for my use case. If I could I'd keep it for other uses but I have other expenses coming...

Eh, not sure why it was even worth them writing that article. That general trend I'm sure is going to follow with any drone maker. I like tinkering with this stuff, my wife doesn't really care. It's not an uncommon phenomena.

I agree. I went with Skydio's recommendation and used my phone only for the first flight. My first flight was by far my worst flight. I haven't flown since without the controller. Personally, I'd venture to say even if you have never flown a drone before, you're better off using the controller...

I had considered that I may have bumped the photo settings. If I did it wasn't intentional, but I can't 100% rule it out. But that said, I kind of figured why would they have any setting combination that would create that.

Don't know, but interested in the solution. I haven't tried very hard to find the answer, but I've noticed the same deal when flying. I just assumed tapping the recording icon would stop the auto record, but it didn't.
