Hello, I have just been given an X10 300-Z for my use on the job. I was just trained on it and one thing I and others have discovered is that the manual and any operational material is presented extremely plainly, almost as if it is intended for someone who has very little knowledge of drones, as if they expect to have a flying camera that they can just send up and obtain a product. I have numerous questions on how things work and why things are the way they are and a few (what I would consider) minor issues. I am hopeful to get some answers to various things and get different experiences from people.

I would really love to get some feedback from people that are flying the X10. I mostly will be using it for mapping lands and video and pictures mostly. I have the 300-Z. I have many questions about the X10 and some issues too. I also have the 3D Scan mostly to evaluate if I can justify the yearly or 3 year license. I would love to get some feedback from people on 3D Scan.

The biggest issue I am having is the RSSI (controller signal to X10) turning red at random times throughout each flight. This can be anywhere from 10 feet away to 1000 feet away. I have not flown it beyond 1000 feet because it gets really bad out that far and the image on the screen starts to break up. I have tried this at various elevations and orientations.

I also have the 5G connection feature (at least I was told it was included, and I did verify that there is a sim card in the X10) but I do not have the feature available to activate as it states in the manual. I'm not sure hot to activate and determine if it's connected. I am also getting conflicting information through marketing material, technical information (manual, online reviews and reports, and other "senior" pilots of the X10 as to whether the 5G is something the controller and the X10 use to extend the signal range or just for remote operations. Either way, I do not know how to activate the 5G connection.

I also do not understand the small globe in the upper left side of the flight screen on the controller and why some X10s in the fleet seem to have a green check mark while others (like mine never have it when flying in the field all while we are all much too far away from any WiFi signal.

One thing that I miss from the Skydio S2 days is that the S2 had a nifty feature that allowed it to see the Skydio logo on the case and perform a precise landing every time. The X10 doesn't seem to have that feature and this requires the pilot to "nudge" the X10 around as it descends. This can pose some issues if the launch site is a confined space with a small area of smooth, even terrain. It would be helpful to have a Precision landing feature.

I also would like to understand more about how the X10 utilizes the Stop At Structure selection within the Sensing menu for obstacle avoidance and what exactly would be a use case.

Regarding 3D Scan, I would like to see more tutorials and How-to's about it. I'm not sure how to use some of the 3D scan mapping scenarios.

I would also like to know what exactly is the zoom capabilities of the 300-Z. What is the optical limit of the zoom and the maximum digital zoom?

I also would like to know more about the Scout feature and if there is a way to track a subject with the camera while in Scout mode.

I also would like to know more about the Thermal features and settings.

Some of these questions I might figure out in the field with more time in the air but some I just don't understand and may never understand unless someone else has the answer.

Thank you.

I'm in the same exact position regarding just obtaining the drone for work use and the 5g connectivity issues.

Our second flight had terrible quality with what seemed to have 5g turned on. The signal quality was so bad in line of sight, the drone even disconnected and had to return to home during an operation. Also the zoom quality is very disappointing in terms of quality. After a small amount of zoom, everything is distorted and unreadable. To be fair the flight was done in civil twilight conditions, but it did not improve at all as the lighting conditions grew clearer.

There seems to be a lack of in depth instructions aside from the booklet of qr codes sent with the package. I'm hoping it's just a setting issue as the software is up to date.
