Thoughts on Skydio’s new January 4th “Update?”

Has anyone found out how you get KeyFrame on an existing Skydio 2? I really only have interest in the feature set not the extended range batteries.

As kenmavic2zoom said, all you need to do is update the software/firmware on your phone and your Skydio and accessories (controller, beacon, charger, batts.) and you'll be good. You don't need to buy anything to get Keyframes...

Here needs to add a little extra information.

There is some hidden hardware requirement about the skill.

Since beacon does not support both KeyFrame and Cable skills, an RC would be needed to perform some of the KeyFrame and Cable skills.

Of course, users are able to do them only with Skydio app (phone) but would suffer from the phone's limitations.
