Can we get one also if we're outside of USA? Let me rephrase that.. is any us SSN of address needed to get it or can we get it even if we are living in another country and plan to come to visit (and fly).

Go on line... i did mine on PilotInstitute.com but can't remember reqired ID, SSS#, etc.... it's all quick to complete intial form b4 u take courses & exam. I THINK it's required to all recreational flyers when you fly in USA.
