I've got one of the moto mounts that were sold for the SD2 but there was a couple things I didn't like about it.
1. It doesn't work well with a lanyard connected to the Beacon.
2. Cant get the Beacon out quickly.
3. There's not allot of real estate in my dual sport bike's handlebars so I needed to deal with that also.
I came up with 2 systems, both incorporate the easy release. The straight mount is for a dirtbike with room on the bars. The angle mount is for a crowded bar.
My setup requires the angle mount.
Here's a vid showing the quick release, the beacon's lanyard will have a clip to attach that end to something nearby so it never gets lost even if the mount breaks.
