I don’t know of a way to test this without risking loss of drone so thought I would ask. I’ve watched the Drone school stuff and tried to find the answer elsewhere and maybe I’ve succumbed to my DOGS (DOGS - Dumb Old Guy Syndrome) but I can’t figure this out on my own.
In the event you are actively tracking and lose connection it is my understanding that the drone go through a predetermined process before it starts a RTH. During the time it goes through that there is a possibility that drone can and will reconnect. Assume there isn’t a low battery condition in effect or the drone doesn’t get stuck in a OA situation it can’t overcome.
What I’m asking is what happens when the drone reconnects?
1) Does it abort the RTH and hover waiting for pilot input?
2) Does it continue it’s RTH until the pilot cancels that?
3) Does it automatically re-acquire whatever it was tracking before connection loss?
4) Something else that I haven’t thought about.
