The simple way to find trees in NE is look for water, or is it the other way around? I spent 6 years in Colorado and did some camping and fishing in NE. Coming from Michigan, I was shocked at the lack of trees by comparison. Just goes with being part of the Great Plains which is beautiful in its own right.
