There is many different versions of Tab A some with micro USB, and some with USB-C

I do use it but once again they do not all use the same connector.
You need the model number you have to get answer.
Easy to find in settings/About Tablet/Model@Hardware

Example:
SM-T290 is microUSB so I use USB-C to microUSB cable.

Hi Thomas,

I don't know of a cable that will work for that tablet and our Controller, as the connection has to be capable of USB 3.1 data transfer speeds. Your current device will only support, microUSB 2.0.

That was amateur hour at it's best....

If your A Tab has microUSB port just get cable like this and you'll be fine
Plenty of them listed on Amazon or FleaBay
