What is special about the USB-C to Lightning cable Skydio uses?

I prefer to use very specific coiled cables with my drone's controllers to the tablet I use. In the case of Skydio 2 and 2+, none of my USB-C to lightning cables work. Only the good ole factory one that Skydio provides. What is the magic with their wire? (other than the fact it works...so don't question the system.) : )

Bumping this - I'd like to know also. I've tried very good cables, mfi certified lightining to usb c and nothing works. I've seen other threads on the controller/phone connectivity issue and wanted to try a new cable. This is getting frustrating

I don't know the exact difference but it is a data only cable that doesn't drain the controller battery. I have tried many different cords and haven't found one that works. I had to purchase another one from Skydio directly.

me too. there aren't any others that i have found to work. either go to android or protect your cable! lol
