Waiting

It'll give you plenty of time to check out videos of what current owners are running into... imho ... much more positive than negative.

Maybe Christmas will become earlier than everyone expects....;)

Update from me:
Today we received the mail that we can add accessories and complete the payment.
Ordered on 19th of Nov 2019 it's ready to be purchased on 26th of Oct 2020. This translates to 343 days of waiting

Don't get me wrong, it does not imply that I'll get and be able to fly it, as I am on another continent and there is like zero travel. So more waiting afterwards. Don't they say that patience is a virtue ? I seem to be a virtuous one. :D

In case anyone wonders how, I'm able to remain sane, well I bought and fly DJI's that were available, but I'm really looking forward to my Skydio. ;)

@SteveCJr: Actually, I'd like to show you this picture I've just received. It just arrived where it was ordered in US. But again, I'm on another continent :)

That's my skydio with a spare battery and a beacon. It was paid on the 27th of Oct and today it arrived.

Im guessing that you are Batch 3. Their last update said that they were expanding production. Hopefully it wont be much longer. I keep checking their FAQ to see if Batch 3 turns to fully shipped.

Well, I got the second email Monday (12/4) instructing me to complete my purchase, which I did. Immediately. Payment cleared the bank Tuesday (12/5). No communication so far as to when they are shipping my merchandise. I hate to bash anyone, and I know the company has been slammed during the C-19 "crisis", but a little quicker response would be in order here. This was not a $10 Amazon purchase! (They respond in MINUTES).
 
CA's Covid-19 rates are really escalating so any small company's manpower is going to be tanking.

Hope the new vaccines and people getting smarter about unnecessary face to face meetings will slow the virus down.

P.S. The Amazon facility in my area is begging for people to apply so even they are developing larger and larger delivery backlogs.

I understand. I work in the Nevada casino industry, and our illustrious governor has been imposing draconian restrictions on the businesses here, too.

I do not want, and never have intended to, berate any small business for their adherence to government restrictions...I know they're doing all they can. I only surmised that I'd get some kind of communication, since "the check was cashed", so to speak.

I'm willing to wait, and I have been. Patiently. Just let me know 'what's up', as they say!

There's been a flurry of on-again off again complaints about the exact same scenario that you're in.

To make it even harder to understand is that there's also been a flurry of quickly delivered S2's after money has been accepted.

I assume you're trying to get updates from Skydio via email but if not be sure to "repeatedly" do so.
 
It's been a week since the deal was done, with no contact, so I fired off an email tonight. We'll see...
 
Got it. Showed up this afternoon, UPS Next Day Air! I got the heads-up from UPS yesterday, and the shipping confirmation from Skydio today. Now just charging everything up and hoping the weekend stays calm...it's been REALLY windy the last few days. Anyhow, all's well that ends well!

...And, of course, we've had 30-38 mph gusts all weekend. At least I got everything set up, paired up, charged up...maybe next weekend ol' Mom Nature will cooperate!
 
about a year and a half ago SkyDio sent me a drone to test out, I only had 2 weeks with it. I planned a big trip to Moab to get some great video, drove a full day out to Utah and the wind blew 30-50mph the entire time I was there. I feel your pain.
 
We had a gentle breeze yesterday afternoon, and I had about an hour of daylight left after work...so...I got it up in the air long enough to do a quick function check. Probably about 5 minutes. Very pleased with the results! Extremely stable and responsive. Camera works flawlessly. Follows live subject (me);).

As soon as I get a weekend without wind (hard to do in AZ desert winter) I'll give it a serious GO!!!
