Reguarding SD or the SD2 platform having upper hand with Govt and state services. The M2EDual, M210 dual gimbal offer these services great hardware and low cost... and an established strong foot hold. Unless the Federal Ban enters State & City services I doubt they'll dump their investment and associated focused training. The SAR teams rely heavily on M210 dual gimbal, XT series, Z30 and the various integrated lights.
The SD2 or SD itself has a ways to go to offer competition in these areas. Now, the EVO2 with it's advertised payloads may give these arenas a strong run too!
I've mentioned it before, reguarding the Fed Ban for Chinese products... I can easily see DJI converting their USA properties to manufacturing, side stepping the Ban. Actually on the sadistic side, I personally feel their are offices or figures within Govt assisting this direction to help control the market.
