No phone needed for visual tracking

I just learned from this Skydio vid of flying over water that the drone doesn't need the app/phone to track visually. That it will track visually when you're just using the Beacon. Or that's what it's claiming/alluding to.

I thought the drone only tracked via GPS when using the Beacon.

The beacon display shows it’s current tracking mode. I think the only icon you wouldn’t see if you don’t use the phone at all is the ‘explicit” visual tracking one.
