Seems I have reached a dead end.
for me, using a Samsung Note 10, International Version with the Exynos Processor, connection to the SD2 is only possible in safe mode. Switching safe mode off , after establishing a connection, allows me use the app as the connection is maintained. Disconnecting the WIFI will make it impossible to re-connect (as the SD Network is no more visible) except by switching back to safe mode.
I have ordered a controller and for the moment am flying with the Beacon. Its just too much of a bother to keep on switching back and forth between safe and normal modes!
The controller will allow me use the SD App as it connects to the phone via a USB C cable. This is a similar solution as with my Hubsan and Fimi drones.
WIll keep on checking here for updates from others. I am aware that not all apps run on all devices so I guess this one of such cases.
